Tuesday Tea: It's Summer Reading Season! What are you reading right now?
Any book is a 'summer read' if you read it in the summer.
Longer days mean more daylight hours to read — how great is that?!
We’re deep in production on Season 6 of our podcast, so our reading time is dictated by our podcast schedule, which is not a nice problem to have, TBH. That means right now, we’re both immersed in books set in Mongolia and Norway with Panama on the horizon.
But we’ve got a holiday planned for the end of July, and we’ve both earmarked ‘summer books’ for our long train rides. Mel is eagerly awaiting the latest Gabriel Allon spy thriller A Death in Cornwall by Daniel Silva (coming July 9). Dave has got his eye on The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley.
Sandwich by Catherine Newman. As a middle aged American woman with children rapidly approaching adulthood it makes me feel so seen.
I just finished Still Life which I got on Audible after your rave review and loved it. Listened to all 13 hours over 4 days. It was worth a credit to get.
