I LOVED The Ruins, at least until the end, which I didn't think quite worked. But otherwise, super creepy!
Two Mary Stewart books come to mind: The Moonspinners and This Rough Magic. Both set in Greece while the heroine is on holiday. Loved the Hayley Mills movie!
