Wow. You just brought back a blast of memories for me. My parents didn't have many records, but one of them was Rubber Soul. I listened to it over and over, sitting right in front of the stereo speaker on the orange-and-yellow shag carpet in my bedroom.
Now i feel old…..officially. I still have all of my Beatles albums with the exception of Yellow Submarine. My cousin swapped a Jimi Hendrix album for that. I don’t know who got the better deal him or me. I also have all my Led Zeppelin albums and Black Sabbath.
Kathy! Congratulations! You're one of our random winners of Patrick's book 'Strawberry Fields.' YAY! Can you email me at mel@strongsenseofplace.com so we can get the audiobook to you? — Mel
Ok, my favorite Beatles' songs are definitely tied: "Blackbird" and "Here Comes The Sun". But my kiddos went through a phase where they could not fall asleep without listening to "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds"...on repeat. After years of wanting to tear my ears off whenever I heard it, I am now weirdly nostalgic.
I'm not sure how I feel about beef broth cocoa. I'm definitely gonna have to try that.
Nineteenth-century Kindle delights me, both for the books, and for miniatures!
Holiday movie haiku: Not sure if the details tempt me to watch any of them, or serve as a warning....

My favorite Beatles song is Let it Be, but I also love Michelle so much that I named my daughter after it. And SHE now has one tattoo that says Let It Be and one that is an album: Rubber Soul. How fun is that?!
I love “Within You Without You” or any Beatles song which features the sitar. My husband lived in the southwest Czech Republic from 1993-96. We would love to listen to Strawberry Fields together. Thanks & happy holidays! Hope

Oh, this is hard, because I love many of the Beatles' songs. If I had to choose it would probably be a tossup between Here Comes the Sun and Got to Get You Into My Life.
Obladi Oblada (ooh my spellchecker didn’t like that!) - I remember sitting on the rug in my primary school classroom, learning to sing this song with my classmates, while our nun-teacher gave it her all! Joyous.
Blackbird! Not a song I knew well until my three year old grandson became obsessed with it. We listened all the time and it will always remind me of him. And I’m still not sure how that even happened that he knew and fell in love with that song!
Got To Get You Into My Life and my fav album is Rubber Soul. Merry Christmas.

I'm a fan of 'Hey Bulldog!' -- Still, I think you might have gotten the better deal. -- Dave
My parents had 2 albums when I was growing up…(Ireland in the 60s).

The miniatures! I want to try making tiny books. They're so cute!
Here Comes the Sun or Hey Jude, depending on my mood :)
It's hard to pick a favorite but Blackbird can live as an ear worm for days - must be a top pick!
I wanna hold your hand

Heare comes the Sun! I was really lucky to see the Beatles themed Cirque du Soliel in Vegas -- so cool
Eleanor Rigby.... the loneliness is palpable and something i try to embrace, resting from social gatherings
