Lovely post, and the palindrome is extremely cool. Prague in May (2023) was magnificent, and I´m sure seeing the sun set on the day of the solstice must have been a particularly fascinating experience.
Heh. I wish! Every summer, a local graduate program in art puts sculptures all around Prague. Last year, there were sharks in our favorite park Vyšehrad, and in 2017, there was a giant squid in the Vltava River. The squid was my favorite, TBH, but it's always fun to see what they come up with each year.
Near Portland, OR, the Mt. Hood Summer Solstice Party https://www.instagram.com/p/C9Ocv1oJNEd/is the closest we get to King Charles' amazing planning. We'll trek/ski up to Illumination Rock, and then it's all down hill from there (bada-bing!)
Wow! That is so cool! I believe that is true with the dates and numerology. I totally believe in that. How fun and cool for you to do that having just moved there. It makes me think of Joan Didion's book Blue Nights in which she talks about the blue light of Manhattan in the evening before solstice. There are other places in the city and different dates such as Manhattanhenge.
And then you went home and had calamari, right?!?!
I loved Prague and the Charles Bridge on our trip years ago
So so so beautiful, always.
What a lovely evening!🤗

Happy Solstice! ☀️
Wait WHAT! That was a real squid?? The sunset was beautiful, but that squid!!

I love numerology stuff like that! Give me all the allegorical paintings, alchemical beliefs, and numerological superstitions!
Thank you for sharing your adventures!! Hugs!
