Oh my, that Cabinet of Curiosities Bar! I would love to see that…and they have a chocolate festival!!
Oh dear, I was just skimming this, so I could see what I was going to enjoy most when 8 read it properly later….and I think I’m stuck..here..in the chair….reading ……
The show notes for this episode are awesome! Thank you! I’m working my way through all the links and just reserved My Lisbon at the public library to get ready for my summer trip to Portugal. Cannot wait!☺️
Oh, how fab! I hope you have a wonderful time. I didn't read My Lisbon until we got back from our trip, and his descriptions of everything are dead-on. I hope you enjoy the book!
Ahh, what a welcome back to armchair travel with you! I’ve never thought that much about Portugal but you got me pondering..UNESCO site for literature, amazing ceramic tiles and then the food culture. Ann
One of the things I loved about Lisbon is how it's short of rustic/shabby chic, and the stories EVERYWHERE thanks to the tiles and street art. I can't wait to go back and explore more!

Now I´m even more looking forward to going to Portugal in the summer, to visiting the world´s oldest bookstore and to eating great food!
I don't like Portugal all that much but I don't care because I'd listen to anything SSOP wants to talk about!
Sweet talker.
I just ordered 'Queen of the Sea' from Blackwell's. Can't wait to read it.
Dave made it sound so good! I'm jealous he got to read it.
