That movie looks hilarious - and so 1968! Loved the links and all the extra info (bringing an extra good maple syrup instead of vine had never occurred to me), and the lady with the space hat is fantastic! I´m about 1/3 into "The Mars House", and it´s really quite something. Looking forward to seeing how the plot unfolds; the world building is fascinating. Thanks for the recommendation!
So many great links here! Those Penguin Red Spines look amazing. I am going to have to order some for our shop. My favorite book with a vacation gone wrong is "Do Not Become Alarmed" by Maile Meloy. A truly frightening scenario!
Today’s episode mentioned The God of the Woods and I’m reading it now - it’s AMAZING! I went to sleepaway camp as a child and love the summer camp vibes that Liz Moore nailed in this book. The perfect summer read!
1) I'm totally wearing that flying saucer hat for Halloween. 2) Now I'm even more excited for our visit to Greenland later this summer. 3) Maybe I'll see a polar bear on an ice floe!
I suspect we're not going to the prettiest part, but it's GREENLAND so that's enough. Though yesterday I did go out and buy two nets to wear over our heads bc the black flies in summer are supposed to pretty bad...
That makes me think of that famous Anthony Bourdain quote about how travel isn't always pretty. Although I suspect you will both look divine in your head nets ;-)
That Julia Turshen link is excellent!
Right? I really liked that one a lot. So many fun ideas.

Oh, good! Glad to know it's living up to expectations! I added it to my TBR for our upcoming vacation. Can't wait!
