Tuesday Tea: If you were going to dress up for Halloween as a fictional character or author, who would it be?
Literary trick-or-treat!
Over the years, Dave and I have dressed up in go-along costumes. There was the year we were burglars in striped shirts and black eye masks, superheroes with capes and goggles, and pirates. That last time we also recruited my dad to be Mr. Smee.
But the best was in 2017. That year, I was Edgar Alan Poe and Dave was the Raven. Best Halloween Ever.
I love your Poe and Raven costumes. I would probably go as Mary Poppins. My love for carpet bags began when I first saw the movie as a kid. And I love her umbrella and hat.
I once went as the PAPER BAG PRINCESS from the children's book by Robert Munsch. A great heroine of children's literature. I just carefully cut a brown paper yard waste bag on a fold, turned it inside out to the side that didn't have the supplier's logo, taped it back up and made a Bristol board crown. Couldn't sit down but worth it!
